✏️ Dearest data fam
It's the dog days of summer - an entirely fitting name, it seems, for those days in which sweating and coping with the heat has become a part-time job. Except that's not where the name comes from: the ancients blamed Sirius, the brightest star in Canis Major (the "Big Dog"), which rises with the sun this time of year. Nothing to do with actual dogs, or actual heat.

Let’s face it - it’s been a short while since our last newsletter. And we do apologize for briefly depriving you of your monthly dose of fun, quirky databits and datifacts. So let’s dive into the layered experiences of our younger years - whimsical, dreamy, but also sometimes painful or nostalgic 🎠

Was your Valentine's Day: (a) the perfect candle-lit dinner, (b) a cruel reminder of a painful heartbreak, (c) a cute encounter with that person you really like, (d) a day just like any other, or (e) all of the above? Regardless, it's the perfect moment to reflect on these binding ties that, romantic or not, ultimately are at the heart of our human experience. In light of this, here’s some hand-picked content on the topic of relationships - because that's how everything comes together 💞
The first data newsletter of 2025 💌
Welcome to 2025, and happy new year! When does it get too late to wish someone a happy new year? Some say January 7th, while for others, the entire month of January warrants the well wishes. You can see that we're of the latter opinion. Anyhow, we've been seeing these ins-and-outs lists everywhere these days, and we wanted to make one of our own - DDS-style. Are 'ins-and-outs in 2025' the new New Year's resolutions? It's your call 🙈
